NAVIONIX closure systems are not merely doors, but custom-engineered complexes designed to guarantee maximum operational efficiency in critical environments. By applying motorized, self-supporting telescopic module technology, we have eliminated specific architectural constraints, offering tailor-made solutions where others see a limitation:

  • Heights from 12 up to 20 meters
  • Infinite lengths with an in-line sliding system, free from horizontal extension limits
  • Self-supporting modules designed to withstand Class 4 wind loads (with options for higher Classes)
  • Smooth movement with synchronized automation for rapid and safe opening

Aviation Sector
Hangar doors designed for aircraft of all classes, from small private jets to wide-body airliners. Fast, secure closures featuring large transparent surfaces for natural lighting.

Shipyards
Solutions for the naval sector: large-scale doors resistant to saline corrosion and high wind loads, ideal for shipyards and dry docks.

FAQ

The system is inherently modular. We place no theoretical limits on the width of the opening: thanks to the multi-track telescopic configuration, we are capable of covering openings exceeding 100 meters, always ensuring a lateral stack depth (parking pocket) optimized for the operational space requirements.

The system is designed to comply with Class 4 wind load resistance (according to the EN 12424 standard) in its standard version. The load-bearing structure and the upper and lower guide systems are dimensioned to absorb high dynamic loads, ensuring the total stability of the door even during opening or closing maneuvers under adverse weather conditions.

The standard configuration includes a recessed floor track, which ensures maximum millimeter-level precision and anti-lifting safety.

Unlike flexible (textile) doors, NAVIONIX can utilize monostructural panels with internal insulation. Alternatively, it can feature low-weight multi-wall polycarbonate panels, or highly dimensionally stable fiberglass panels. This allows for an extremely low thermal transmittance value, reducing the hangar's energy losses and maintaining a constant internal microclimate—a critical factor for the maintenance of sensitive avionic components or for the working comfort of technicians.

The NAVIONIX system is equipped with inverter-driven gearmotors that allow for "soft start/soft stop" cycle management. To guarantee the longevity of the system, we recommend scheduled semi-annual maintenance, focusing on the verification of the sliding kinematics, the lubrication of the tracks, and the inspection of safety devices (safety edges, photocells, and locking systems).

Absolutely yes. The Navionix system is highly customizable: it is possible to integrate pedestrian pass doors (with panic bars) for personnel, and to provide interfacing with the hangar's fire protection systems, allowing for automatic opening or flow lockdown in the event of an emergency.
